Building Change : Commissioning
We have a wide range of experience working with commissioners covering services as varied as Older People and End of Life through to Mental Health, Talking Therapies and Public Health. We have worked with commissioners to identify options for commissioning a service, scanning the market and assisting NHS managers to successfully tender for services which will be delivered by organisations from the voluntary and social enterprise sectors, the independent sector and the statutory sector.
Recent assignments include:
- Developing and implementing commissioning options for a Lifestyle programme: drawing on opportunities which arise from planned changes in legislation, working with commissioners to identify creative options which support the delivery and commissioning of the broad public health objectives of a lifestyle programme.
- Providing expert support for the successful tendering of a Healthy Minds service which was a Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Pathfinder.
- Currently commissioned assignments include reviewing services commissioned through cottage hospitals linked to the development of day care services, supporting the retendering of learning disabilities services, providing support to a complex care commissioning team, and overseeing the implementation of an End of Life Strategy.
